Ferrari has a habit of making special cars, but the CZ26 takes that idea much further. One customer in the United States wanted something that could not simply be picked from a Ferrari showroom catalogue. The result is a Ferrari with its own shape, cabin and aerodynamic setup, built around the SF90 Stradale.
Ferrari CZ26: What makes it special
The CZ26 was created through Ferrari’s Special Projects programme. Ferrari Design Studio, led by Flavio Manzoni, worked with the customer for about two years.
Key highlights –
- Only one CZ26 will exist
- Based on the SF90 Stradale
- Built for a US client
- New body and cabin design
- Argento Veloce silver paint
- Rosso Lampante detailing
- New aerodynamic package
- Public debut at Monterey Car Week
The design has a different look from the SF90. The body uses a clean two-box shape with a strong central section and wide wheel arches. The rear ends in a short, sculpted tail. Ferrari says the styling takes some inspiration from Italian industrial design from the 1970s.
Design and aerodynamics
At the front, a wide grille stretches across the nose. It houses slim lighting units, brake cooling openings and sensors. The rear gets cantilevered tail-lamps, a large spoiler, a new diffuser and titanium exhaust tips.
The silver paint is joined by red details and exposed carbon fibre. The wheels have a gloss black finish with a shot-peened surface.
Ferrari also spent plenty of time working on airflow.
- Revised central radiator position
- New front bypass ducts
- Redesigned underbody
- New vortex generator layout
- Front air curtain system
- Larger rear spoiler
- Dedicated rear diffuser
- Engine cover vents for heat removal
These changes help manage cooling, drag and downforce across the car.

Inside the CZ26
The cabin follows the same custom approach. Black technical fabric covers the interior, while specially made seat inserts add a touch. There is satin carbon fibre, gloss carbon fibre with metallic filaments and body-coloured trim on the doors and dashboard.
Rosso Lampante details tie the cabin to the exterior. An embroidered CZ26 badge also makes it clear that this is not a regular SF90.

Power and performance
Underneath the custom body is Ferrari’s plug-in hybrid setup. The CZ26 uses a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 with three electric motors.
| Specification | Ferrari CZ26 |
|---|---|
| Engine | 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 |
| Electric motors | 3 |
| Combined output | 986bhp |
| Torque | 804Nm |
| Battery | 7.9kWh |
| Electric range | 25km |
| Gearbox | 8-speed dual-clutch |
| 0-100kph | 2.5 seconds |
| Top speed | 328kph |
The powertrain gives the CZ26 pace, but the bigger story is its uniqueness. Ferrari has taken the SF90 platform and created a car that looks like nothing else in its range.
The CZ26 will be shown publicly during Monterey Car Week in California. Ferrari has not revealed how much the one-off cost.
