Audi India today launched the 2017 Audi A3 facelift. Prices start at INR 30,50,000 for the new Audi A3 35 TFSI variant and INR 32,30,000 for the new Audi A3 35 TDI variant.
The new Audi A3 Sedan is available with both petrol and diesel engines. The 35 TDI variant is powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine rated at 143 hp, while the 35 TFSI variant gets a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol, four-cylinder engine good for 150 hp. The diesel engine is paired to a 6-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, while the petrol engine is matched to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission.
The new Audi A3 Sedan measures 4,458 millimeters long, 1,796 millimeters wide and 1,416 millimeters high. It has a wheelbase of 2,637 millimeters. As for appearances, the face-lift gets the A3 Sedan a more sharply contoured and wider Singleframe grille, new headlight design with optional LED headlights with dynamic turn signals, new rear light design and redesigned 16 inch alloy wheels.
The interiors have been subtly revamped as well, with new three dimensional titanium grey inlays on the dashboard, along with jet turbine like round air vents with spot and diffuse function. The new A3 Sedan’s luggage capacity is rated at 425 litres. Improvements have also been made to the car’s chassis, while new A3 Sedan comes with an electromechanical power steering and Electronic Stabilisation Control (ESC) with electronic limited slip differential as standard.
Standard equipment on the new Audi A3 Sedan include an electrically retractable seven-inch screen, Audi Sound System, Cruise Control with speed limiter function, panoramic sun roof, Milano Leather Seats, electrically adjustable front seats, dual zone air conditioning system with sun position sensor, driver information system, MMI Navigation, storage package, electrically adjustable exterior mirrors with heating, electric folding and anti-glare function on both sides, interior mirror with anti-glare function, Audi Parking system plus with rear view camera and Audi Phone Box with Wireless Charging.
