Seen here on this page are first official images of the new 2015 Ford Expedition. These images come ahead of the vehicle’s official public debut at the upcoming DFW Auto Show, Texas. Following its public debut, the new 2015 Ford Expedition will go on sale in its home market and as these pics reveal, will come with a new, really daunting front fascia that sports a new radiator grille, new headlights and optional LED fog lamps. The SUV also gets chrome exhaust tips, new design alloy wheels and a redesigned tailgate.
Akin to the model it would replace, the new 2015 Expedition will go on sale in two variants- Standard, which would have 119 inch wheelbase and XL, which will have a 131 inch wheelbase.
On the inside, the new Expedition will sport a new center stack and a revised instrument cluster that wil consist of two LCD displays. The interior of the Expedition also gets ambient LED lighting, Intelligent Access, 10-speaker Sony audio system and a MyFord Touch infotainment system. Ford has also announced that it would launch a new top of the line Platinum variant that will come with “buttery” leather seats and additional features.
Powering the new Ford Expedition 2015 is a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that has a max power output of “at least” 370 bhp. While the car maker has refrained from revealing engine specifications, this motor has a peak torque of 582 Nm for the 2015 Lincoln Navigator. For the 2015 Ford Expedition, the motor will come mated to a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission.
The new 2015 Expedition will boast of a new electric power steering (EPS) and a continuously controlled damping system with three different modes: comfort, normal and sport.
