The new 2015 Ford Endeavour is scheduled for an official unveiled on November 14, 2014. Now, Ford has already released the teaser image of this upcoming SUV. The teaser image showcases the headlight and the grille housing the Ford logo on the new Endeavour. The headlight and grille look similar to the Ford Everest concept that was showcased in Sydney last year.
Based on the Ford Ranger series of heavy-duty pickup trucks, the Ford Endeavour has a body-on-frame construction. Globally, we expect Ford to install 2.2-litre four-cylinder and 3.2-litre five-cylinder inline diesel engines. For India though, expect to see the same 2.5 and 3.0-litre diesel engines that are found on the outgoing versions. The engine is expected to be mated with a new six-speed transmission. The 2015 Ford Endeavour, just like the outgoing model, will be shipped over from Thailand as CKD kits and then assembled at Ford’s plant in Chennai.

The 2015 Ford Endeavour is expected to hit the Indian shores in the second or third quarter of financial year 2015-16. We expect Ford to place the new Endeavour against the Toyota Fortuner and Hyundai Santa Fe. So the price tag on the 2015 Endeavour is expected to hover in Rs 20-25 lakh zone.
