Regulars here would know that we have nothing but a lot of nice things to say about the Volvo S60. The newest Volvo sedan in the Indian market has been doing respectable numbers and can be safely credited with bringing some excitement and freshness to the Swedish auto maker’s passenger car line up.
We reported in detail when Volvo came out with facelift for the S60 sedan and now, it is being said that the updated 2014 Volvo S60 would make its Indian debut in October this year.
The Volvo S60 facelift comes up with mildly refreshed interiors and exteriors that work together to infuse some freshness into the three year old car.
Volvo claims that the recent facelift exercise carried out on its S60 sedan is “the most extensive development of existing models” in the firm’s history.
The 3 series rivalling S60 sedan gets a new front fascia and a longer features list. The S60 also gets an option of a lowered sports chassis for all variants.
The S60 refresh comes equipped with Volvo’s new Sensus Connected Touch multimedia system. The new system provides full internet access, internet radio, Google maps & search and internet music streaming. The system pairs with driver’s mobile phone for gaining internet access. The seven-inch touchscreen can be operated even when the user is wearing gloves.
The updated car also gets a TFT instrument panel from the V40. Other than all this, the automatic variants also get steering mounted paddle shifters.
It is expected that the Volvo S60 facelift will arrive in India along with the meaner Polestar variant.
