We reported in detail when Czech automaker Skoda recently announced the 2014 Skoda Yeti facelift. Now, seen here is a video of the new updated Yeti running on public roads.
As we told earlier, the updated 2014 Skoda Yeti has been launched in two variants – Yeti Outdoor and Yeti Style. In this video, we see the Yeti Outdoor variant being put through its paces on public roads.
The Yeti Outdoor comes with a rugged look that mimics some of the off roaders out there. The car, in true off roader fashion, comes equipped with skid plates, underbelly guards and side moldings. The car also gets an updated features list which comprises of automatic parking assistant, rear-view camera, as many as 9 airbags, VarioFlex seats, heated seats and cruise control.
In international markets, the car will go on sale with as many as 7 engines variants to choose from. The range of engines consists of a 1.2 105 bhp TSI to a 2.0 170bhp TDU.
Speaking about the new car, Skoda CEO, Prof. Dr. h.c. Winfried Vahland said, “With this all-new look and being offered for the first time in two variations, we are establishing new benchmarks. We plan to continue our outstanding development in this rapidly growing vehicle class.”
The 2014 Yeti Outdoor will be put on public display at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show next month and sales are being expected ot begin later this year.
