We are also looking forward to the range of new models that Hero MotoCorp is close to introducing in to our ever expanding bike market. While the highly promising Hero HX 250R is still sometime away from getting launched in India, leading the charge of new performance bikes offensive by Hero MotoCorp would be the new, refreshed, 2014 Hero Karizma R facelift and the 2014 Hero Karizma ZMR facelift. The new 2014 Hero Karizma R launch is around the corner and reports have been abounding the web world that the manufacturer has already axed the production of the current model. It is highly likely that the new 2014 Hero Karizma R facelift launch will take place later this month/early next month. A local Hero MotoCorp dealer has even informed us that the unofficial bookings for the bike have commenced! It is being expected that the launch of the updated Karizma would take place alongside that of the new Hero Karizma ZMR facelift.

The new 2014 Hero Karizma facelift sports many new features and updates that should enable the aging bike to soldier on for some more years. The upcoming model gets a new front fairing that sports twin projector headlamps, along with LED DRLs. Other new bits include new side panels, new rear end, new taillamp, new end can, split seats, split grabrails, and new, fairing mounted, rear view mirrors. The speedo console, the wheels and the fuel tank remain unchanged.

Powering the 2014 ZMA is the same engine that powers the current model. However, for the upcoming bike, the motor has been retuned to churn out a a max power of 19.2 bhp, which is considerably more than the current 17 bhp. The 2014 ZMA can dismiss 60kmph from zero in 3.6 secs and we expect it to have a sub 13 sec run to 100kmph. Top speed could be around 13o kmph.
