The Z650RS joins Kawasaki’s diverse 650cc-class lineup, which spans a wide range of styles and configurations, including full-cowling Ninja sports bikes, Z Supernaked models, Versys adventure-style motorcycles, and Vulcan cruiser-style machines. As a fusion of retro styling and contemporary cues, the Z650RS is primed to captivate retro enthusiasts eagerly awaiting the next evolution in motorcycle design – a phenomenon aptly termed “Retrovolution.”

Powered by a parallel-twin 649cc engine, the Z650RS promises a fun and effortless riding experience. Its lightweight trellis frame, telescopic front fork, and horizontal back-link rear suspension ensure nimble handling and precise control. Equipped with a suite of modern features, including dual-dial instrumentation with a multifunction LCD screen, a round LED headlight, and spoke-style cast wheels, the Z650RS offers both style and substance. Notable enhancements include disc brakes with standard ABS, an assist and slipper clutch, and a relaxed retro-style riding position. Setting it apart from its Z900RS counterpart is a slimmer fuel tank and a shorter, more compact tail section.

The highlight of the Z650RS is undoubtedly the Kawasaki TRaction Control (KTRC) system, offering two distinct modes to suit varying riding conditions and preferences. Mode 1 provides minimal intervention, allowing spirited riding while optimizing traction during cornering. On the other hand, Mode 2 intervenes earlier, reducing engine output to maintain grip on slippery surfaces or adverse road conditions.

Priced at INR 6,99,000/- (Ex-Showroom), the Z650RS is set to hit the streets by the end of February 2024, marking a new chapter in the legacy of Kawasaki motorcycles.
