TVS Motor Company has recorded 20% growth in sales during the month of December 2014, with total sales increasing from 159,495 units recorded in the month of December 2013 to 191,880 units in the month of December 2014. Total two wheeler sales increased by 19% from 153,358 units recorded in December 2013 to 181,994 units in December 2014.
Domestic two wheeler sales grew by 19% increasing from 132,664 units in December 2013 to 157,438 units in December 2014. Scooters sales of the company grew by 25% increasing from 41,817 units in December 2013 to 52,411 units in December 2014. Motorcycles sales grew by 22% increasing from 57,576 units inthe month of December 2013 to 70,188 units in December 2014.
Three wheeler sales of the company registered an increase of 61%, growing from 6,137 units in December 2013 to 9,886 units in December 2014.
The company’s total exports grew by 28% with sales increasing from 25,797 units in the month of December 2013 to 32,969 units in December 2014. Two wheeler exports grew by 19% with sales increasing from 20,694 units in December 2013 to 24,556 units in December 2014.
Third Quarter Sales Performance
During the third quarter of the current financial year, sales of TVS Motor Company grew 26% increasing from 5.19 lakh units recorded in the third quarter ended December 2013 to 6.53 lakh units in the quarter ended December 2014. Total two wheeler sales grew by 25% increasing from 4.99 lakh units in the third quarter of the previous year to 6.25 lakh units in the third quarter of the current year. Total three wheeler sales grew by 38% increasing from 0.20 lakh in the third quarter of the previous year to 0.28 lakh units in the third quarter of the current year.
