Mitsubishi To Launch Seven Seater Outlander In Late March

Mitsubishi is surely getting aggressive in India. First, the entire web world became crowded with news of upcoming Mitsubishi Challenger, nay, the Pajero Sport. Then recently, the Jap manufacturer decided to spoil us performance enthusiasts silly by slashing the prices of the Cedia sedan. Now, the news is that the Outlander will soon get a third row of seats. These seats will be electronic folding and the extra boot space of the current model can be retrieved whenever required.

The Outlander is powered by a 2.4 liter MIVEC petrol engine that pumps out 170 PS and 226 Nm of Torque. The motor is mated to a INVECS-III CVT with paddle shifters. The Outlander also gets Shift on the Fly All wheel drive system. Like the Cedia sedan, the Outlander could too see a price drop, albeit, after sacrificing some of the equipment. I just wish that the excellent Rockford Fosgate ICE is retained. What the Outlander really needs is an oil burner. Are you listening Mitsubishi?
