Michael Schumacher in critical condition. Head trauma with Coma!

Few hours earlier, we reported that Michael Schumacher has met with an accident during one of his skiing trips. Now, Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Grenoble, where Michael Schumacher was transferred soon after the mishap, has issued a statement saying that the former F1 driver has suffered severe injuries. Michael has undergone an emergency surgery and currently, his condition is being described as critical! The statement issued by the hospital reads:”head trauma with coma, which required immediate neurosurgical treatment.

Schumacher recently met with a skiing accident in the French Alps. The mishap happened when Michael was skiing in the French resort of Meribel in the popular Three Valleys ski area. Michael was flown to Grenoble Hospital in a helicopter.

Earlier, speaking on Schumacher’s accident, Christophe Gernignon-Lecomte, director general of Meribel ski resort, said: “For the moment I don’t know the severity of the injury. The gendarmes are at the scene investigating how the accident happened. He was taken by helicopter to Grenoble Hospital. I don’t know if it happened on piste or off piste. I can’t tell how serious his injury is.

However, his condition is known to be critical now and we pray for his recovery.

The seven time F1 world champion owns a chalet in Meribel and is a regular at skiing.

Michael Schumacher retired from Formula 1, the pinnacle of car racing, in December last year.
