It has now emerged that Michael Schumacher’s family recently issued a public statement. However, this statement gives no updates on the racing maestro’s health. Earlier, Sabine Kehm, Schumacher’s manager, said that the German driver is in an artificial coma in a “stable” condition.
Now, the latest statement from driver’s family states that they are “deeply touched” by support from racer’s fans around the world.
“That gives us strength,” the statement reads.
“We all know he is a fighter and will not give up!“
A neurosurgeon at France’s university of Bordeaux, Jean-Marc Orgogozo, told Le Point newspaper: “Every day, every week you are in a coma, the chance that the situation will improve diminishes.“
To those who came in late, Michael Schumacher suffered a serious crash whilst skiing in French Alps recently. His helmeted head hit a rock, which led to serious head injuries.
