MG Hector Captured Without Any Camouflage In A Video

Morris Garages, or just plain old MG how it is affectionately called, will be launching their first car in the Indian market very soon. To be called the Hector, this SUV will be competing against the likes of the Jeep Compass, Tata Harrier and the upcoming Kia SP2i SUV. With such fierce competition surrounding them, MG has indeed upped their game already by bringing an all-new connectivity feature in this segment. The MG will come with iSMART technology which will use a built-in SIM card which uses the internet to keep the car connected. Moreover, voice control can also be used to control quite a few aspects of the car, including climate control, electric sunroof and much more. Thanks to YouTube user nirmalbhalia5777, we now have a video which captures this upcoming SUV shining in a shade of bright red.

The video captures quite a few interesting details of the car. The front grille houses the large MG logo in the centre and there is no shortage of chrome all over. A strip of the shiny metal surround the blacked out grille and extends further, underlining the top mounted DRLs. The headlight cluster below gets chrome accents too, and so does the lower area of the front bumper. Black plastic cladding is present all around at the lower parts of the vehicle, following the wheel arches as well, making the Hector appear off-road ready.

Moving towards the side of the car, we see more chrome accents present. The greenhouse area is underlined by chrome and looks neat. The car also gets a floating roof tye design, which seems to be a trend nowadays. The roof rails on top add an element of sportiness. The wheels get a unique design with 5 thick spokes and 5 thin ones. Things at the rear are kept simple with a chrome applique above the number plate, connecting the two LED illuminated taillights. The Faux diffuser is finished in a shade of silver and the Hector comes with a triangular exhaust tip.

With a launch scheduled to happen in the coming few months, the Hector will not only use conventional petrol and diesel engine but will also offer a mild hybrid powertrain. On the inside, the Hector will come with a number of features, including a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control and much more. There also will be a rather large 10.4-inch touchscreen, stacked vertically which shall control each and every aspect of the Hector.
