A few days after showcasing the all-new Baleno and revealing the starting price of the updated hatchback, the brand has now revealed the full price list. The earlier starting price was announced at Rs 6.10 lakh, but the official prices now begin at Rs 5.99 lakh. The new Baleno is available in five variants, with petrol manual, petrol AMT and CNG manual options.
Price And Variants
The Baleno range has Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha and Alpha (O) trims. The new Alpha (O) sits at the top of the range and gets some extra equipment, including Level 2 ADAS.
All prices are ex-showroom.
The automatic option costs Rs 50,000 more than the manual version on the variants where both are available. The CNG version carries a Rs 92,000 premium over the corresponding petrol manual model.
New Engine
One of the main mechanical changes is the new 1.2-litre three-cylinder Z12E petrol engine. It replaces the older four-cylinder unit and is also used in the Swift and Dzire.
The petrol engine produces 83hp and 112Nm and can be paired with:
- 5-speed manual gearbox
- 5-speed AMT gearbox
- 23.80kpl claimed efficiency with MT
- 24.77kpl claimed efficiency with AMT
The CNG version uses the same basic engine and develops 70hp and 102Nm. It is available with a manual gearbox and has a claimed efficiency of 33.61km/kg.
Exterior Updates
The facelift also brings a few changes to the Baleno’s exterior. The front gets a larger grille with horizontal chrome detailing, along with redesigned bumpers. New 16-inch alloy wheels are also part of the updated model.
A new Enigmatic Teal colour has been added to the range.
Features And Equipment
Maruti has added several new features to the facelifted Baleno, with the higher variants getting more equipment. Some of the key highlights include:

The Alpha (O) is the only variant to get the Level 2 ADAS package.
How The Baleno Sits In The Range
The Baleno continues to sit in the premium hatchback space and competes with cars such as the Tata Altroz, Hyundai i20 and Toyota Glanza.
With the new pricing, the entry-level Baleno starts below the earlier announced Rs 6.10 lakh figure. At the other end, the Alpha (O) AMT costs Rs 9.99 lakh.
For buyers looking for a petrol automatic, the Delta AMT at Rs 7.50 lakh is the first option in the range. Those looking for CNG can choose between the Delta CNG and Zeta CNG.
