We have been repeatedly saying that Mercedes has become all the more serious for Indian luxury car market and has big plans to re-gain the leadership it enjoyed in the luxury car segment. The first Mercedes India car lined up for launch next year is the Mercedes G63 AMG.
The G63 AMG will replace the G55 AMG that is currently on sale in India. Powering the Mercedes G63 AMG is a 5.5-litre V8 biturbo engine which offers a great power-torque output of 544bhp-760Nm. All this power is transferred to the wheels by the AMG SPEEDSHIFT PLUS 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission.
Visual differences include a new front bumper. new grille, DRLs, side-mounted exhaust system and new mag wheels.
On the inside, the car gets a SLS AMG style steering wheel, shifter, and gauge cluster. The infotainment system has been updated with the new COMAND software and the seats get a upholstery change.
