The Mercedes CLA Class sedan looks poised to become the next big thing from the Stuttgart based German luxury car maker.
The CLA sedan is largely based on the new A Class hatchback and will be launched as the cheapest sedan in the car maker’s product portfolio. China, which is among the highest growing automobile markets and has a huge demand for luxury cars coming from Europe, will be an important market for the CLA and don’t be too surprised to see our neighbours becoming one of the first markets in Asia to get the new CLA sedan.
It seems like Mercedes has applied for the CLA’s patent in China and seen here are what are claimed to be the patent leaks of the CLA.
The CLA will be launched in India sometime this year and will be sold with a choice of petrol engines- a 1.6 litres petrol and a 2.0 litres petrol. The 1.6 litre engine has a max power of 122 bhp, with the 2.0 litre motor having a peak power output of 211 bhp.
The CLA is underpinned by the MFA platform and benefits from the latest design language from Mercedes. The CLA is a stylish looking car and should appeal to the young and fashionable.
The CLA will be seen battling it out against the Audi A3 Sedan.
