Renowned German premium car maker Mercedes Benz is celebrating sale of 10 million copies of C Class and as a part of this celebration, the carmaker has launched a new commemorative edition of the entry level sedan in India.
The new Mercedes C Class Edition C has been launched @ INR 39.16 lakhs (ex showroom, Mumbai) and goes on sale in only a single trim level – the C220 CDI.
The C220 CDI is powered by a 2.2 litre four-cylinder diesel engine that has a max power of 170 hp and peak torque of 400 Nm. The car can dismiss 100 kmph from standstill in 8.1 secs. The car has a top whack of 231 kmph. As we expected, the car remains mechanically unchanged.
Visual upgrades on the Edition C include a a glossy black radiator grille, black tints for headlight, an AMG body kit which includes new front and rear bumper spoilers and side skirts. The car rides on new 17-inch alloy wheels which come finished in a two-tone finish.
On the inside, the car gets a new navigation system, sports seats, an electric sunroof, contrast stitching for the upholstery, ambient lighting and split folding rear seats.
Only 500 units of the new Mercedes C Class Edition C will be ever built and the car has gone on sale with immediate effect.
