Mercedes Benz B Class was brought to India with much fanfare. Mercedes Benz India is calling the B Class as a Sports Tourer. However, thanks to a ‘non-SUV-ish’ styling pakage and the car having to do with only five seats, we have some doubts on the future of the B Class in India. Now, news has cropped up that the German carmaker is considering a larger version of the B Class. The car will be based on an extended version of the popular MFA platform and will have a slightly longer rear overhang to accommodate the third row of seats.
As we have earlier reported, the petrol engined B class for India will be launched in two variants:
-B 180
-B Â 180 sport
Both these variants are powered by a 4 pot 1.6 litre petrol motor with forced induction and power rating of 122 hp-200 Nm.
