This AMG Vision Gran Turismo Concept draws inspiration from some classic Mercedes-Benz models, such as the W196 and 300 SL. This concept is a rear-wheel drive and is powered by an AMG V8 engine mounted at the front, which produces 577 bhp and a torque figure of 799 NM. This AMG V8 motor is mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT seven-speed sports transmission. The concept tips the scales at 1384 kgs and the stopping power comes from high-performance ceramic brakes, from AMG. A powerful exhaust note is guaranteed by the eight tailpipes at the rear.

The radiator grille’s shape is a throwback to the 300 SL and features LED technology with different light patterns. Most of these LED’s are arranged to form five horizontal louvres and when the daytime running lamps are turned on the center louvre lights up. Once the racing lights are activated, several LED’s light up in green in the background.

Mercedes-Benz has provided several photos with the interior cabin that is inspired by a Formula 1 car cockpit and has red integral sports seats blending into the black flooring of the footwell to create a protective shell. The central display is actually a glass surface floating above the race-spec steering wheel and provides all the vital data. The dashboard itself takes form of two gullwing doors located on each side of the column which makes the actual doors to seem like they are an extension of the dashboard.
