What you see in the images is the new Toyota Fortuner Diamond Edition that is based on the range topping version of the SUV. The Fortuner Diamond Edition will be sold in the South American markets. The India launch plans are still unknown. Christened as SW4, the Diamond Edition will feature a slew of exterior and interior updates.
Outside, the SUV gets a darkened chrome grille and a skid plate on the front bumper. The Diamond Edition also features a new 18-inch alloy wheel design. Inside, the SUV features leather seats, JBL Audio system with 10 speakers and subwoofer, 7-inch infotainment system, and a special key fob that gets a white colour finish with gold coloured highlights. The centre console gets a unique beige and bronze finish surrounds.
There are no mechanical changes to the Diamond Edition and the Toyota Fortuner (SW4) continues to use the 2.8-litre, four-cylinder, diesel engine that is tuned to deliver 177 PS of maximum power at 3,400 rpm and 450 Nm of peak torque between 1,600-2,400 rpm. A 6-speed automatic transmission sends the power to all the four wheels.
