What you see here is the all new Yamaha FZ6R. The new Yamaha FZ6R looks all poised to become a hot favourite among those wishing to step up from their quarter litre bikes.

The 2013 Yamaha FZ6R benefits from light weight, wide handlebars and low seat height to make the bike user friendly. It is being said that the 2013 Yamaha FZ6R offers a good mix of engine performance, handling and sports bike styling. The new FZ6R uses wears 120/70R17 tyre at front and 160/60R17 at rear.

Stopping power comes from dual 298mm front discs and a 245mm rear disc brake. The 600cc motor of the 2013 Yamaha FZ6R gets ceramic composite plated sleeveless cylinder bores for better heat dissipation and hence, a steady performance.

If launched in India, the 2013 Yamaha FZ6R will command a price tag of around INR 5 lakhs and will battle it out against the likes of 2013 Kawasaki Ninja and Hyosung GT650R. The new FZ6R makes for a good bridge between less powerful 250cc bikes and the lethally sharp 600cc sportsbikes.

The new FZ6R should make for a very friendly 600cc bike in city traffic and might also be sufficiently potent for the occasional cross country run.

  • All we had posted was that there were ‘chances of Yamaha unveiling a 250cc which MIGHT be a R25’ at EIMCA. I request you to give a proper read to what we post before crying foul.

  • Eh. . .? This bike here has been out since at least some time. As for the R25, all we had posted was that there were ‘chances of Yamaha unveiling a 250cc which MIGHT be a R25’ at EIMCA. I request you to give a proper read to what we post before crying foul.

  • The design look slightly misproportioned…the front and the rear don't seem to go well together!
