After being showcased at the Auto Expo 2016 in Great Noida earlier this month, the Maruti Vitara Brezza has been spotted on the road; for what appears to be the vehicle’s official TVC shoot. In these images, the upcoming compact SUV shows off its contrast coloured roof and mirror caps, which can be had as an option on the top-end variants. Apart from that, Maruti will also offer a host of customization options for the Vitara Brezza, which include decals, stripes, new wheels and other interior embellishments.

The new Maruti Vitara Brezza has been conceptualized, designed and developed in India using a Suzuki global platform and engine – the familiar 1.3-litre DDIS 200 diesel engine, good for 88.5 bhp and 200 Nm of torque, in association with Suzuki’s mild hybrid system (SVHS). The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. A petrol engine will be offered sometime in the future, along with an AMT.

The missing roof probably explains the TVC shoot.

Features on offer include projector headlights, LED daytime running lights, 16-inch alloy wheels with 215 section tyres, Maruti’s SmartPlay touch-screen infotainment system with navigation and rear-view camera, cruise control, automatic climate control, ABS, EBD and dual front airbags. The Maruti Vitara Brezza will be launched on March 8, while deliveries are only expected to begin on March 21. Prices for the new Vitara Brezza are expected to start at INR 6 lakhs, and it will be competing against the likes of the Ford Ecosport, Renault Duster and the Mahindra TUV300.
