To address the upcoming festive season, Maruti Suzuki has cooked up a few limited edition variants of its popular hatchbacks. Following the Alto K10 Urbano Edition, the Swift Glory Edition is the latest to join the party.
The Glory Edition is based on the VXi and VDi variants of the Swift. It commands a premium of INR 11,300 above the Vxi/Vdi variants. Ex-showroom prices are as follows:
- Maruti Swift Glory Edition VXi – INR 528,818
- Maruti Swift Glory Edition VDi – INR 619,823
On the outside, the Swift Glory edition is adorned with side skirts and bumper extensions finished in red, blacked out C-pillars, a contrasting red roof and mirror caps, a new rear spoiler, along with racing stripes on the sides, bonnet and roof.
Inside, there’s dual-tone (red+black) upholstery, which includes seat covers, steering wheel and gear lever cover, complimented with a Bluetooth-enabled music system and new floor mats. Also on the offing is reverse parking assist, replete with a rear-view camera. Mechanically, the Glory Edition continues with the existing set of 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines, both strapped to 5-speed manual transmissions. The VDi variant of the Swift also gets ABS and EBD as standard.
