The sightings of Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming MPV R3 are get more and more frequent. The new product with which MSIL plans to rival the Innova and the Xylo seems ready for an Auto Expo 2012 debut. The R3 was first showcased at the 2010 Auto Expo.
The new car from maruti will be a 6 /7 seater with a third row of seats. In the previous sightings, the car showed its third window after the B pillar, however, in the fresh pictures, the window seems to have been covered. The car was spotted on a few earlier occasions as well.
The R3 is expected to be powered by Suzuki’s new K14 1.4 liter petrol engine and the variable geometry version of the 1.3-liter DDiS engine which is capable of producing 90PS. Maruti may even come up with a CNG powered version of this MPV too so that it p[resents itself as a viable option to not just fleet operators but to big families as well.
