Maruti Suzuki has issued a recall for the world’s best selling car, their Alto hatchback. Apparently, they noticed a problem with the ‘Right hand door latch assembly’ during internal quality tests, where there is no concern if the right hand side door (front and rear) is completely latched. However, if the door is half-latched, then it may open if pressure is applied from inside. Although it is a rare condition, but in view of customer safety, Maruti is undertaking replacement of the door latch assembly, proactively.
