India’s biggest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), has launched a special edition of the Alto K10, which goes on sale with the “musiK Edition” moniker. This edition is nothing but an addition of some goodies and decals to the standard variant. Although there is no info on the pricing, it would be very safe to guess that the special edition Alto K10 will be priced slightly higher than the regular Alto K10, .
This musiK edition includes 10 additions to the normal Alto K10 ,which are as follows:
1. A JVC MP3 player with USB
2. Two 4 inch Front speakers
3. Body Graphics
4. Seat Covers
5. Ambient Lighting.
6. Steering cover
7. Alto K10 musiK decal
8. Rear Spoiler
9. Mud Flaps
10. Universal Mats
This picture has been taken from an advertisement published in a local newspaper. Last time, in December 2012, MSIL had introduced the Alto K10 Knightracer edition. Some goodies have been carried over in to this edition from the Knightracer. It is not clear about the variants in which this edition will be offered.
It may be noted that Maruti Suzuki has launched this edition bang in the start of the peak festive season to cash in on the extra sales which happen during this period. The Alto K10 is powered by a three cylinder 1.o litre K-series engine which produces 68PS and has a fuel efficiency of 20.92 kmpl. This is essentially the same engine which does the duty in the Maruti Suzuki WagonR and the Maruti Suzuki A-star. But, the major advantage the Alto K10 recieves is due to the high power/weight ratio. Being a light weight car, the Alto K10 was marketed as a Pocket Rocket in the TV commercials by Maruti Suzuki.
