Maruti Suzuki has increased the price of the Ertiga MPV. The facelifted Ertiga was launched recently 3 months ago in April and the price was set at Rs. 8.35 lakh (ex. showroom). However, after the price hike, the car will be Rs. 6,000 costlier than before and will have a price tag of Rs. 8.41 (ex. showroom) lakh. The company has said that the hike is immediately effective.

Maruti has also announced that now all the variants of Ertiga will have ESP and hill hold assistance as a standard feature. Before these features were only available in the automatic and top-of-the-line variants. The price hike will include all the manual variants and it can be due to these added features. The new gen Ertiga comes with a new metallic teak-wooden finish and dual-tone fabric seats. The interior is equipped with a 7-inch Smartplay pro infotainment system and It gets a voice assistant that can be activated with the ‘Hi Suzuki’ command with connected car tech called Suzuki Connect which offers over 40+ features.
The car can be remotely accessed through a compatible smartwatch & voice connectivity through the Suzuki Connect skill for Amazon Alexa. Customers can remotely access & operate the AC function, door lock, headlamps OFF, hazard lights, alarm, and many other features through these devices. The Tech includes additional safety features such as 4 airbags, electronic stability control, and hill-start assist. Other features include a parking camera, cruise control, auto headlamps, automatic climate control, a color MID, electrically foldable ORVMs, air-cooled cupholders, and AC vents for all three rows.
The new Ertiga comes powered by a new K-series 1.5L Dual Jet, Dual VVT with idle start/stop technology. It produces 101hp and 136nm of torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. Customers can also opt for a 6-speed torque converter gearbox with paddle shifters. It returns 20.51 km/l in the manual guise and 20.30 km/l when mated to the automatic gearbox. The new Ertiga is also offered with CNG in the VXI and ZXI variants. The CNG variant returns 26.11 km/kg.
