Maruti Suzuki Celebrates XL6 MPV’s First Year Anniversary

 

Maruti Suzuki XL6 is the premium version of the Ertiga MPV, with a second-row captain seating arrangement along with updated and more premium interiors; is sold exclusively through Nexa outlets. Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) is celebrating the first anniversary of XL6, the premium MPV and has released an official statement revealing that the XL6 currently has more than 25,000 happy customers across the country. The XL6 currently rivals the likes of Mahindra’s Marazzo, Renault’s Lodgy and Honda’s BR-V.

XL6 has gone on to capture nearly 14% market share in the country’s premium MPV segment. It goes on to show that despite the stiff competition, the XL6 has planted itself as a formidable contender in its segment.

The XL6 is retailed at over 370 Nexa showrooms across the country, this exclusive 6-seater, is a blend of stylish exteriors coupled with plush interiors. It is powered by a BS6 compliant K15 petrol engine and Suzuki’s 5th Generation Heartect platform, the Maruti Suzuki XL6 is further enhanced by its business-class interiors and tech-savvy features. It is engineered and designed for today’s customer who seeks comfort and style. The powerful and contemporary attributes garnered XL6 several recognitions within the Indian automobile industry. Some of these also include the ‘Droom Auto Award’ for MPV of the Year and ‘India Digital Award’ for Online Interactive Marketing.

Other specs

Talking about dimensions, the XL6 is 4,445 mm long, 1,775 mm wide and 1,700 mm tall. This makes the six-seater 50 mm longer, 40 mm wider and 10 mm taller than the Ertiga. The wheelbase and turning radius, however, at 2,740 mm and 5.2 metres respectively, remain unchanged from the Ertiga. The interior follows an all-black colour scheme. Features like Smartplay Studio, Cruise Control, quad-LED headlamps and smart hybrid technology are also offered with the car. The car is offered in a total of two variants, Zeta and a better-equipped Alpha.

It gets the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine from the Ertiga. Combined with Suzuki’s hybrid technology, this engine is capable of generating about 105 hp of maximum power and 138 Nm of torque. This engine will is BS-VI compliant, straight from its launch. While a 5-speed manual gearbox is offered as standard, the car also comes with the option of having a 4-speed torque converter with both the variants.
