Maruti-Suzuki will launch a 7-seater van called Eco in November. The real wheel drive van will probably get a 1200cc petrol engine, from Suzuki’s G12 series (not the K12 from the Ritz, to keep costs down) and will be BS-IV compliant.
It will be available only in LX and VX variants targeting economy seeking buyers.
However, in all probability, it won’t be available with the excellent Fiat sourced diesel engine from the Swift at least at launch. The Eco may be priced in the 4-6 lakh price bracket slotting it neatly between the Omni and expensive rivals like the Innova.
