While one model of the Brabus tuned Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 6X6 is still juggles its way through the suburbs of Mumbai, one of its siblings, a Mansory kitted G63 AMG 6X6 recently went up in flames in China. The untoward incident, which took place in the city of Guangzhou, saw the limited edition vehicle hitting a Hyundai Santa Fe before being engulfed in flames.

Images that surfaced on the web suggest that the one off Mansory tuned model hit the front left wheel of the South Korean SUV but the impact was pushed aside as a fender bender. It is believed that no one was hurt in the incident although the model, which was burnt to ashes, was now reduced to a heap of scrap.

The cause of the fire still remains unknown although a few reports suggested that a fuel tank leak or a spark in the engine could have led to the mishap. Mercedes-Benz is said to have had a production run limited to just 100 units for the model and is known to be the most expensive SUV by the German luxury automobile manufacturer.

Powering this brute SUV is the 5.5 litre V8 biturbo engine that produces a maximum power output of 536 hp while the peak torque is rated at 760 Nm. This power is sent to the six wheels with the help of a 7 speed automatic transmission. This engine enabled the monstrous vehicle to sprint from 0 to 100 kmph under 6 seconds. The Mansory kitted model, as seen in this case, was tuned to produce a whooping 840 hp and 1000 Nm. The Mansory kit also includes carbon fibre parts as well as a set of additional lights a new front grille and so on.
