We have been reporting in detail about the new Mahindra 110cc Scooter codenamed G101. Now, the scooter, which has been christened as Zesto (why the obsession with the name Zest ? After Tata and TVS, Mahindra has also named its product Zesto !) has been spied during its TVC shoot in Mumbai, which suggets the launch is just around the corner.
As already reported by us, it appears that the Mahindra Zesto will have a unisex design which will be similar on the lines of the Honda Activa and TVS Jupiter. The front apron sports trapezoidal clear lens turn signals with air scoops insipired by the Kinetic Blaze scooter. The front suspension on th Zesto is a telescopic unit and the scooter gets steel wheels instead of alloys.
At the rear, the new Mahindra Zesto features a wraparound taillamp with integrated clear-lens turn signals on either side. Powering the scooter will be a single cylinder 110cc motor which will churn out 8 PS of max power and 9 Nm of peak torque. The motor will come mated to the variomatic transmission (CVT). Fuel efficiency of the Zesto is expected to hover around the 60 kmpl mark.
The Mahindra Zesto will lock horns with the TVS Jupiter, Honda Activa 110. Hero Pleasure and the newly launched TVS Scooty Zest 110.
The scooter will be priced around INR 45,000-47,000.
