Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. (MTWL), a part of the USD 16.2 billion Mahindra Group, recently received the ‘Gold Award’ at the state level competition of ‘Quality Circles’ organized by the Quality Circle Forum of India. The event was held in Gwalior on 5th October.

Mahindra Two Wheelers participated in the Lean Quality Circle category along with 36 teams from various other companies from the state of Madhya Pradesh. The Lean Quality Circle concept aims at “Doing More with Less,” optimizing the use of available resources with continuous improvements.

Each participant was required to submit case studies on the topic. Mahindra Two Wheelers’ ‘Paint Shop team’ had presented a case study on enhancing productivity through improvements in the hangar design, and optimizing the application of paint coats and minimizing losses.

The success of the Centuro is also a clear validation of this commitment.

The next major event will be the national level competition at Kolkata where only the winning teams from different states in various categories would be participating. This will be held in December this year.
