Mahindra Two Wheelers August sales volumes grow by 66% over previous year

Mahindra Two Wheelers Ltd. (MTWL), a part of the USD 16.2 billion Mahindra Group, today announced that it sold 17719 two wheelers in August 2013, a growth of 66%, while domestic volumes stood at 15346 units, a growth of 53% over the previous year.

The company has registered strong growth backed by burgeoning demand for the new Mahindra Centuro with over 35000 bookings received till date, across the country. MTWL is rapidly enhancing production to meet this strong demand.

 The Centuro comes packed with first in class features and is powered by Mahindra’s indigenously developed MCi-5 (Micro Chip ignited-5 curve) engine that has a power output of 8.5 BHP @ 7500 rpm, 8.5 Nm of peak torque @ 5500 rpm and a claimed FE of 85.4 kmpl (ARAI). The fully loaded Mahindra Centuro is available at an attractive price of Rs. 45,000 (ex showroom- New Delhi).
