The Farm Equipment Sector of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., the world’s leading tractor manufacturer, rolled out its 2 millionth tractor from the company’s Kandivali Plant in Mumbai, on February 27, 2013.
In a special ceremony, Dr. Pawan Goenka, President, Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. rolled out the 2 millionth tractor at a ceremony attended by workers, union representatives and officials. Mahindra’s Farm Division achieved the one million tractor milestone in 2004 and has surpassed this figure to reach the 2 million mark in a short span of eight years. Mahindra said, “The journey till the roll out of the 2 millionth tractor has been challenging and exciting for us.
