Mahindra Stallio Caught Testing. Re-launch in Jan 2013

Mahindra 2 Wheelers had halted the production of its Stallio due to various faulty components in the motorcycle. The 110cc bike was first launched in 2010 after which it fell into trouble owing to dozens of complaints by customers. Owing to this, the firm announced the seizure of production for the bike in early 2011. The company had admitted to the faulty components and the need to modify certain aspects of the motorcycle.

The firm is now close to re-launching the motorcycle.

The revised bike was recently caught testing by the good folks at ACI. The Stallio was seen sporting an LED taillight. The Mahindra Stallio was earlier launched with a 106.7cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine mated to a four-speed gearbox. The max power-torque figure for this engine was 7.3bhp-0.8kgm. It is being expected that the re-launched bike will come with an updated version of the original motor.

The Mahindra Stallio will be re-launched in January 2013 and will lock horns with the recently launched Hero Passion XPro, Honda Dream Yuga 110 and Suzuki Hayate 110.
