Mahindra Scorpio Facelift Spied near Pune

The upcoming Mahindra Scorpio facelift has been spied yet again. This time, the SUV was spotted on its test run on the Mumbai-Pune expressway by the good folks at TopGear.

The current Scorpio is powered a 2.2 liter mHawk diesel engine which develops 120 bhp of max power. TopGear guys mention that the test mule was consistently maintaining speeds above 150 kmph, and the car looked stable at that speed. They went on to say that Mahindra may have plonked the 140 bhp motor from the XUV in the upcoming facelifted model.

The Mahindra Scorpio facelift would sport a new bumper, refreshed headlamps, new fenders and a new radiator grille. Speaking about the rear, the SUV will feature new tail-lights, new bumper and a refreshed tailgate. Inside, the dashboard and the upholstery will also be new.

According to TopGear, the test mule featured a newly-designed center console with new AC vents, a new steering wheel and bits from the XUV.

With the facelift, the car will also see few additions to the feature list. We can safely expect Mahindra to showcase the facelifted Scorpio at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo in February. With the SUV segment heating up like never before, do you think the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio facelift would struggle to find new homes ?
