Production for the Jeep Compass will begin in the month of June 2017 while the launch of the compact SUV is scheduled for the third quarter of 2017. The Jeep Compass has finally been unveiled. Update 9:

The Jeep Compass, as we mentioned earlier, will be manufactured at the company’s plant in Ranjangaon, Pune. This plant will be one of the four plants where the Compass would be manufactured.

A few other highlights of the Jeep Compass include 60:40 split rear seats, electric parking brake and capless fuel fill.

The Jeep Compass comes loaded with safety and security features. You can check out the complete list with the help of the image below. Standard safety features include ABS, EBD, ESC, PBA, HBFC, EBP, six airbags, disc brakes on all four corners and Hill Start Assist (HSA).

The Jeep Compass will feature the Select Terrain Traction Management System that will include four modes: Auto, Snow, Sand and Mud.

Dimension wise, the Jeep Compass will measure 4,398 mm in length, 1,819 mm in width and 1,667 mm in height while the wheelbase will stand at 2,636 mm.

Suspension duties will be taken care of by a MacPherson Strut unit at the front and a Chapman independent suspension at the rear. The model also features Frequency Sensitive Damping (FSD).

The Jeep Compass can be had with a petrol engine or a diesel engine. While the 1.4-litre Multi-Air petrol engine will produce 180+ hp and 230 Nm of torque, the 2.0-litre diesel engine will produce 170+ hp and 350 Nm of torque. Power will be sen to all four wheels via the All Wheel Drive System.

Transmission options will include a six speed manual transmission and a seven speed automatic transmission.

As seen in the image above, the India-spec Jeep Compass will receive limited Ski Grey dual tone interiors.

Update 1:

Jeep India will launch the Compass compact SUV in the third Quarter of 2017. The model will come equipped with an All Wheel Drive system and Select Terrain option which will include four modes. Powering the Jeep Compass would be a petrol engine or a diesel engine. While the petrol unit could be a 140 hp 1.4-litre Multiair motor, the diesel unit could be a 2.0-litre Multijet engine that would produce 170 hp and 340 Nm of torque. Transmission options would include a manual transmission that would be available as standard while an automatic transmission would be available as an option.

A few highlights of the upcoming Jeep Compass would include LED DRLs, xenon headlamps, electrically foldable and adjustable ORVMs, automatic headlamps and wipers, black leather seats with contrast stitching, 8.4 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, dual zone climate control, engine start-stop button, keyless entry, eight way power adjustable driver seat and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
