On the occasion of the introduction of Nat Geo’s ‘X-treme Trail’ adventure reality show, popular Jap manufacturer has launched a limited edition of its SUV X-trail. The X Trail has always made a strong point for itself and already had a fair bit of features but now, with the launch of this special variant, the car will come with a list of new features like a touch-screen navigation system, rear spoiler, ‘X-treme Trail’ decal and door visor set along with a some other minute variations.

Limited edition of X-trail’s LE Grade version sports a price tag of Rs 22.79 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and the special variant will be on sale at all of Nissan’s 45 dealers from this month. Dinesh Jain, CEO Hover Automotive India said, “We would like to mark this programme by launching an X-treme Trail Limited Edition of Nissan X-trail, which will enhance the driving experience for anyone who enjoys the SUV experience.” The aforementioned TV reality show will be aired from November 5 on not just National Geographic but on Fox Traveller, Star World and Channel V as well.

I have always liked this SUV from the Japanses giant and I think the car could had done with more brand recognition and publicity campaigns. I now hope that the under-dog from Nissan earns a fair bit of fan following for itself and we get to see more of this well sorted piece of machinery on our roads.
