There are machines which sweep you off your feet with their capabilities, then there are those which do that too and also captivate you with their sculptured beauty. This limited edition Ducati Diavel Titanium is one like the latter. A machine which lets you carve corners and when you feel a little artsy, it can take a proud corner in the living room and make your eyes salivate.
With a limited production of 500 units, out of which many have already been sold, this exclusive Diavel gets a Titanium paint job with dark chrome chassis, Marchesini forged aluminium wheels, Titanium tank covers and a carbon rear seat cowl. Carbon treatment also extends to the engine air intakes, radiator covers, windscreen, front and rear mudguard and front sprocket cover. The saddle is hand-stitched Alcantara, while exhaust pipes get a Zircotech ceramic lining. Each bike gets an individually numbered tank-mounted plaque which affirms the exclusivity.
Mechanically, the Ducati Diavel Titanium remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by a 1198cc Testastretta 11° ‘Dual Spark’ V-twin that belts out 162 hp and 130Nm of torque. All that power going to the fat 240-section rear rubber can be controlled by three different riding modes and a traction control system. LED headlights, ride-by-wire and ABS are standard equipment. Tipping the scales at 205 kg (dry), extensive use of Titatnium and carbon fiber makes this Diavel 5 kilos lighter than the base model.
