Launch Report- New Suzuki Ertiga Sporty goes on sale in Indonesia; Price- 9.53 lakhs

We reported in detail when Indomobil Suzuki showcased the new Ertiga Sporty variant at IIMS 2013 in September last year. (CLICK HERE for our earlier story) Now, the Suzuki Ertiga Sporty launch has taken place and the new variant goes on sale for a starting price of 180.35 million Indonesian Rupiah (approx INR 9.53 lakhs; for the GL M/T Double Blower variant). The Ertiga Sporty GL A/T Double Blower is priced at 191.35 million Indonesian Rupiah (approx INR 10.11 lakhs). Compared to similarly speced GL Double Blower variant, the Ertiga Sporty commands a premium of 13.05 million Rupiah (INR 68,995). 

The Suzuki Ertiga Sporty does look quite sporty and comes kitted out with some exterior upgrades such as- a set of projector headlamps, a new paint scheme for the twin slat front radiator grille, an updated front bumper, a new set of foglights, a revised air intake, metal inserts for the bumper, a front lip spoiler, side skirts, new low profile tires, new design chrome mag wheels, a roof spoiler, a revised rear bumper, twin exhaust tips and some chrome near the registration plate enclosure.

Mechanically though, the Ertiga Sporty is exactly the same as the regular model, which means that the Ertiga Sporty  is powered by the same 1.4 littre K Series four cylinder petrol motor that powers the regular Indonesia spec models. This engine has a max power output of 95PS and peak torque of 130Nm. Transmission options available in Indonesia include a five speed manual and a four speed automatic gearbox.
