Seen here in these images is the new Renault Duster Joy Edition. The latest special edition of the ‘once hot-selling’ compact SUV has been prepared and being sold by a Kerela-based dealer who seems to have been inspired by the Duster Detour Concept that greeted the show goers of the 2013 Johannesburg International Motor Show (JIMS), held in October last year.

The new Renault Duster Joy edition, seen by the good chaps at IAB at Renault Thrissur, boasts of a black painted rear end, much like that of the Duster Detour. However, while the Duster Detour concept sported a yellow front end, the Duster Joy Edition boasts of Lamborghini’s Verde Ithaca inspired green paint job. IAB, however, reports that the dealer is also taking orders for a yellow plus black car from dealers who can’t digest the rather loud shade of green.
Other than a dramatic paint job, the Duster Joy also sports various new styling bits such as a front bull bar, a faux hood scoop, a new set of alloy wheels, black painted roof rails, chrome trim around taillights and chrome door handles. Mechincally, the Joy Edition remains the same and hence, engine options available include a 1.5 litre four cylinder turbo charged k9k diesel in two states of tune and a 1.6-liter four cylinder, normally aspirated petrol engine.
The Joy Edition warrants a premium of INR 1.5 lakhs over the regular model. Add in 73 grands more for the optional accessories.
