Indomobil Suzuki showcased a new Ertiga variant at IIMS 2013 recently. Dubbed as the Suzuki Ertiga Sporty, the new variant is based on the top end GX variant and gets some tid-bits to make it more appealing.
It may be noted that Suzuki has been pretty regular with bringing new Ertiga concepts to motor shows and this is being done to gauge the reaction of the show-goers and on the basis of it, decide if it would be feasible to push the special variant to production stage.
The Suzuki Ertiga Sporty looks production ready and comes with some exterior upgrades such as projector headlamps, revised paint scheme for the twin-slat grille, revised front bumper, new foglights, revised air intake, metal bumper insert, a front lip spoiler, side skirts, low profile tires, chrome rims, roof spoiler, revised rear bumper, twin exhaust tips and some chrome near the registration plate enclosure.
Mechanically, the Ertiga Sporty is the same as the standard variant. This means that powering the car is a 1.4 littres K Series petrol that has a max power output of 95PS and peak power of 130Nm. Transmission options include a 5 speed manual and a four speed automatic.
