Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), the country’s second-largest car manufacturer today launched its highly anticipated compact family sedan “Hyundai Xcent”.
Speaking at the launch, B S Seo, Managing Director & CEO, HMIL said, “The Xcent is a world-class product developed for the Indian families. The Xcent will be available with two engine options- 1.1 litre 2nd generation U2 CRDi diesel and 1.2 litre Kappa Dual VTVT petrol.
The Xcent’s U2 CRDi diesel delivers 72PS@4000rpm of maximum power and 18.4kgm@1750- 2500rpm of peak torque with the mileage of 24.4kmpl (ARAI figure). The diesel engine is mated to a five speed manual transmissio.
The all-aluminum 1.2 litre Kappa petrol engine comes with Dual VTVT mechanism delivering max power of 83PS@6000rpm and 11.6 kgm@4000rpm of peak torque, with the mileage of 19.1kmpl (ARAI figure). The petrol engine offers the choice of 5-speed manual transmission and 4- speed Automatic Transmission.
