It has emerged that Mercedes-Benz could launch the new C63 AMG in second half of 2014. The upcoming Mercedes C63 AMG will be powered by a new 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 that will also power other future-AMG cars.

The new C63 AMG will go on sale towards the very end of next year and will be powered  by a newly developed 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that is expected have a max power output of 454 bhp (338 kW)-493 bhp (367 kW). The engine, in all probability, will come mated to the Mercedes 7G-MCT SpeedShift automatic transmission. As we have been saying, this engine-transmission combo will be found in many future-AMG models.

The new gen C-Class line up will further expand in 2015, with the launch of the new C300 Plug-In Hybrid variant. The C300 Plug-In Hybrid will be powered by a powertrain that will comine a 4 cylinder, 2.0 liter turbocharged direct-injection petrol motor with a high output electric motor. While the gasoline engine will have a max power of 249 bhp (185 kW), the electric motor will churn out additional 67 bhp (50 kW).
