Recently, Lamborghini introduced the most powerful version of Urus in India. It is named the Urus Performante which was the only variant of Urus on sale. Aesthetics of Urus S

Both the S and Performante variants of the Urus look similar. Yet there are some cosmetic revisions for distinguishing the aesthetic profile. Upfront, the new Urus S boasts a single-tone bonnet with cooling vents but the performante has a dual-tone finish. The manufacturer has made certain tweaks on the bumpers of the Urus S. The Performante variant gets the option of a partially exposed bonnet and roof made up of carbon fiber material. Customers can choose from different sizes of alloy wheels ranging from 21 to 23 inches with different types of finishings.

Like the exteriors, the interiors of the new Urus S remain intact with no significant tweaks in its design. However, the new Urus S gets a different material with leather upholstery. The interior of the Urus S can be upgraded to the Black Alcantara material which is similar to the Performante variant. The manufacturer offers a plethora of customization options with a wide range of materials in the Urus S.

About the Powertrain Setup

The new Lamborghini Urus S is powered by a 4.0L Twin-turbo V8 engine similar to the Performante variant. The twin-turbocharged engine makes 666hp of power and 850nm of torque output. The power is channeled to all the wheels via an 8-Speed Automatic Transmission. While the Urus Performante does 0-100 sprint in 3.3 seconds, the Urus S claims a bit more at 3.5 seconds. The top speed has been improved to 305 km/h.

The Suspension Setup in the Urus S is different compared to the Performante. The Urus S gets Air Suspension while the Performante boasts the sportier lowered coil spring for sharper handling. However, the ride quality of the Urus S is better and gets adjustable ride height. In addition to the standard driving modes like Sport, Corsa, and Strada, the Urus S also gets off-roading modes like Sabbia, Neve, and Terra.

Pricing and Competition

Lamborghini has priced the Urus S at Rs. 4.18 crores Ex-showroom. The new Urus S is the best blend of performance and a slew of off-roading capabilities with its air suspension setup. Lamborghini Urus S continues to keep up its rivalry with BMW XM, Audi RSQ8, Aston Martin DBX 707, Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT, and Maserati Levante Trofeo.
