The 2017 Geneva Motor Show marked the unveiling of the new Lamborghini Huracan Peformante. Inspired from the Huracan Trofeo race car, the model is set to be launched in various regions across the world including India. In latest updates, Lamborghini India has announced that the Huracan Performante will be officially launched here on April 7, 2017.
Prior to its debut, the Lamborghini Huracan Performante was teased on various occasions. The supercar made it to the headlines after it completed a lap at the Nurburgring in 6:52 minutes. This record was five seconds faster than the previous record held by the Porsche 918 Spyder.
Propelling the Lamborghini Huracan Performante is the same 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine as seen on the standard model. This engine has now been tuned to produce 640 PS of power and 600 Nm of torque. Paired to a tweaked version of the seven speed dual clutch transmission, power is sent to the rear wheels.
A retuned engine is not the only change that the Italian marquee made to the Huracan Performante as the model also receives Active Aero Agenda or ‘Aerodynamica Lamborghini Attiva’ in Lamborghini speak. The technology allows the car to switch between maximum downforce and low drag setups by adjusting flaps in the front spoiler and at the rear.

A few other significant changes to the model include Forged Composite carbon fibre used to produce parts such as the engine cover, front spoiler, rear bumper, rear spoiler, diffuser, centre console, paddles, HVAC vents and door handles. These Forged Composite carbon fibre parts help the car shed 40 kgs. Also on offer is a rear wing that increases full braking and high speed cornering by 750 percent, according to Lamborghini.
Inside, the Lamborghini Huracan Performante also comes equipped with new digital cockpit displays that can be configured depending on the choice of the following drive modes: Strada, Sport or Corsa. The dashboard display will also show the user when and how the ALA works.
