Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae Lands In India

Lamborghini has unveiled the Aventador Ultimae Roadster in India. This special edition limited-run model celebrates 11 years of the iconic supercar and its screaming V12. Only 600 Ultimae editions have been produced out of which 250 are roadsters and 350 coupes. India gets only 1 Roadster which is finished in the exterior color of Giallo Auge. The Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae harnesses the performance of the SVJ and intensifies the sophisticated elegance of the Aventador S.

The Aventador Ultimae features an aggressive design with striking aero bits everywhere. The front splitter and open ‘mouth’ of the LP 780-4 direct additional airflow to optimize aerodynamic efficiency, and engine, and radiator cooling. The front bumper’s air ducts and side cooling inlet reduce aerodynamic interference from the front tires and optimize wake flow to the rear radiator, with the Ultimae’s lightweight rear bumper completing the dynamic exterior which is closely related to the track focussed SVJ.

The 20-inch front and 21-inch rear forged alloy wheels come wrapped in Pirelli PZero Corsa Tires. The interior features a heavy dose of Alcantara and it features a customizable TFT digital dashboard that displays driver modes as well as controlling in-car connectivity, Apple Carplay, and a reverse parking camera. The Aventador Ultimae is powered by a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated ‘Longitudinale Posteriore’ (LP) engine that pushes out 780 hp and 720 nm of torque. It produces 10hp more than the SVj and around 90hp more than the original Aventador. It comes mated to a 7-speed single-clutch gearbox and it can achieve 0-100km/h in 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 355km/h. Power is sent to all four wheels and it features rear-wheel steering as well. Thanks to its huge carbon-ceramic brakes, the supercar can do 100km/h to a standstill in just 30m.

The Last of its kind

The Aventador Ultimae marks the end of an era. Other than being the final and most extreme version of the Aventador supercar, it also is the last Lamborghini to feature a V12 powertrain. A V12 has been synonymous with Lamborghini supercars from the 60s and the next flagship from the brand will feature a V12 hybrid powertrain. This makes it a highly sought-after collectible and prices are expected to be around the ₹7 crores to ₹8 crores mark.

Official statement

Sharad Agarwal, Head of Lamborghini India said, “The Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae is the most powerful Aventador ever made, and we are excited to introduce the Roadster version to our Lamborghini customers and enthusiasts in India. With the highest-performing naturally aspirated V12 engine in Lamborghini history, the Ultimae incorporates advanced technological
solutions and unparalleled design. Limited to 250 units of Roadster edition worldwide, the Ultimae is destined to become a timeless masterpiece in the Indian market.”
