Here’s Why The 2022 Hyundai Venue Is More Than Just A Facelift!

The 2022 Hyundai Venue is finally here and it is set to make the compact SUV more exciting. With a ton of new features, cosmetic changes, added comfort, and whole lot more, the 2022 Hyundai Venue is more than just a mere facelift! In fact, it is almost as good as a new generation vehicle! Let’s take a look at the reasons why the 2022 Hyundai Venue is more than just a facelift!

A Fresh New Design

The Hyundai Venue facelift gets a fresh new design to make it stand out in the sea of compact SUVs. The overall changes made are significant and not just a nip and tuck job. The Venue facelift features a redesigned front fascia which is more in line with Hyundai’s larger SUVs like the Tucson and Palisade. The older grille has been replaced by a square parametric grille which is finished in chrome. The projector headlamps are placed on the lower part of the bumper just like before with the LED DRLs integrated into them. Interestingly, the facelifted Venue doesn’t get fog lamps, unlike the pre-facelift version. The turn indicators now get a split design. The side doesn’t see any major changes except the new 16-inch alloy wheels. The rear gets a completely new look thanks to the horizontal LED taillights which are connected by a thin LED strip. The reversing light is placed lower down and is stacked vertically with the reflector. Other details include silver skid plates for the front and rear, a shark fin antenna, and an electric sunroof.

Added Comfort

Hyundai has made a lot of changes in the back seat to improve the comfort for the passengers. Firstly, it gets a 2-step recline function which is a first in the segment. This means that the rear passengers can also get a comfortable seating position for those long journeys. The 60:40 split configuration also ensures that different passengers can enjoy varying levels of recline depending on their needs. It also gets rear A/C vents with dual C type charging ports for quicker phone charging. Other features include a rear centre armrest with cupholders, adjustable headrests and ISOFIX child mounts.

Home 2 Car

The Venue Facelift will have Alexa and Google Assistant onboard. So you can use your favourite AI assistant to control some features of the car. Features like, turning on the AC, find my car, locking doors, checking fuel level, etc. This brings in a whole new level of connectivity enabling users to stay connected to their car from the comfort of their homes. This feature is also a first in the compact SUV segment.

Driving Modes

The new Venue will come with three driving modes namely, Normal, Eco and Sport. Drivers will be able to choose the modes using a drive select dial on the central console. The driving mode will also change the colours of the MID display. The drive modes are not just gimmicky, they will also alter the powertrain depending on the mode.

Sounds of Nature

Do you like soothing ambient sound while driving? Well, the new Hyundai Venue will come with “Sounds of Nature” on board. The infotainment system is preloaded with sounds of tranquil beach, lively forest, rain patter, etc. This feature can also be a blessing for many who deal with bumper-to-bumper traffic every day causing stress. The ambient sounds will ensure that the drive is more relaxing.

Enhanced Connectivity And Interiors

Hyundai’s Bluelink connected car technology comes with as many as 60 features. The system also gets OTA updates and it gets 12 regional language support. The interior gets a new white and black theme with new upholstery for the seats. The driver’s seat now comes with 4 way electric adjustment which is a first in the segment. The leather seats are new as well and they feature additional bolstering.

Standard Safety Features

The 2022 Venue gets a lot of safety features in its lower variants which are usually seen in the top end variants. Starting from the second S variant, it comes with ESC( Electronic Stability Control), BA( Brake Assist), VSM(Vehicle Stability Management), HAC( Hill Assist Control), automatic headlights and TMPS(Tyre Pressure Monitoring).
