We reported in detail when Austrian bike maker KTM’s CEO Stefan Pierer’s holding company purchased Husqvarna from BMW. Now, it has emerged that Husky and Husaberg are coming together and the new company will be called Husqvarna Sportmotorcycle GmbH. The upcoming company will be based in Mattinghofen in Austria, which is also the home of KTM.

Safely expect Husqavarna to announce its off-road model lineup in October. This will be followed by the motorcycles being displayed at this year’s EICMA in Milan. The bike maker has revealed that the upcoming bikes will cater to the supermoto segment.

It may be noted that both Husaberg and KTM produce off-road machines that co-exist in complete peace with each other. However, it will be interesting to see if the inclusion of Husqvarna will change all the equation. It has been said that the upcoming Huskies will sport “exclusive design and the latest technology” in enduro, motocross and “Sportminicycles” categories.
