KTM 390 Duke Price in India to be less than INR 2 Lakhs

We reported in great detail when the KTM 390 Duke was unveiled at EICMA, Milan and now, the Austrian bike has been launched in the United Kingdom. The interesting bit here is that the KTM 390 Duke price in UK is just 300 GBP more than the price of 200cc variant.

This is a clear indication that Bajaj Auto Ltd, partner of KTM, could price the 390 Duke real aggressively when the new bike comes to India. The 390 Duke benefits from component sharing with the smaller Duke and all this could lead Bajaj-KTM to launch the 390 Duke in India at a price that would undercut the INR 2 lakhs figure.

It may be noted that Bajaj plans to make use of heavy localization for the new Duke and this would further help bring the costs down.

The KTM 390 Duke would come to us with the ABS option, which is now mandatory in UK. The ABS on KTM 390 comes from Bosch and can be switched Off by the rider. The 390 would become the second 250cc+ bike in Indian performance bike segment to get ABS (the first being the Honda CBR 250R).
